Professional approach in cabinet refinishing
Impact Pro Refinishing is a family owned business that was created in 2017 to help homeowners with quality cabinet refinishing. After many years in the industry we realized an unprofessional and common approach to cabinet refinishing. What is this approach? Well, have you noticed a family members cabinet looking great but after just a few weeks it starts to peel? Yes that is caused by bad practices! This really affects you the homeowner because now you have to hire another company to fix these issues! The main issue with the paint peeling off the cabinet is that the refinishing company didn't correctly decontaminate the wood and correctly prepped it before applying a new color.

Paint peeling can be avoided
Usually the cabinets have a protective layer that protects the cabinet from peeling, and water damage. It is important to understand that this protective layer has to be removed completely in order to paint a new color. If the new paint is not being sprayed on a prepped and decontaminated surface, the new paint will not be applied correctly and will eventually peel off, guaranteed! That is why every project we do we clean, decontaminate, and lightly sand the cabinets. This helps us remove years of dirt, years of grease, dog hairs, finger prints, hand grease, and years of food stains. Our system also removes the layer of protection. Most companies just do a very light sand and do not focus on decontaminating the cabinets at 100% then removing the protective layer. We do. By doing this another benefit you get is a beautiful smooth look because years of wear & tear on your cabinets were completely removed. This results in a lasting effect and a smooth finish that you can feel, touch, and most importantly see! If your looking to refinish your cabinets call us, we will never pressure anyone for our service.

Our process from estimation to completion below
Call to Estimate
Our processes have been mastered after many years of doing the same thing day in and day out. Upon receiving a call to request a cabinet refinishing estimate, we agree on a date so that one of our estimator can go and do the quote. Before our estimator goes in, he will have new shoe coverings, gloves, mask, and sanitizing gel. In the estimate you can expect our estimator to have samples of our work, samples of different colors, and suggest the best approach for your new project. After answering all your questions, hour estimator will leave a quote and will not pressure you to sign any quote or contract. We like to leave potential clients a chance to look for more options and realize what is their best option.
Estimate to starting project
After doing an estimate and giving you some time to think about it, if you decide to work with us we will send you the proposal and decide on a start date. Before we start we do require the homeowner to remove everything from inside the cabinets. We offer help to move if there is anything heavy. Because we sand and spray the new color we do require everything off and away from cabinets so you don't lose any valuables.
Finishing In house Project
Before we begin prepping the cabinets and applying any color, we create a walkway from the front door to the kitchen and any other rooms we will be working on. We do this to protect your flooring from any damage possible. Then we start removing all the doors and drawers off the kitchen. Every door and drawer is assigned an I.D so we identify where it belongs in the kitchen cabinet frame once it is time to re install everything. The doors are worked on in our shop. Once we remove the doors, we will start masking the counter tops, inside of cabinets, walls and appliances. After everything is fully protected we will begin prepping the wood. Finally we apply the color to the cabinet frame and we remove all of the masking and help clean up the areas where we worked on. This in house process usually takes 2 days.
Working the doors in our shop
We work the doors in our shop. Because sanding, spraying and the dust particles usually will create homeowners frustation we like to take the doors to our shop and work on the doors there. Once on the shop we assigned the doors a tag with the homeowners information so we always know who they belong too and don't get mixed with other projects. We prep the doors and prepare them so our spray master sprays them the color the homeowner chose. This process usually takes about 10 business days.
Installation Day, Project Completion
Once we finish spraying the doors and they are dried and ready to install we agree in a date to go install the doors. Because we have the doors identified through out the whole process this is a very quick day. If you noticed any touch ups on the cabinet frame this is the best time to let us know because our team will be doing all the touch ups after installing the doors. If you want any new handles on your cabinet doors and drawers, this is when we will be installing the new hardware also. After walking the project with you and you approve the project it is then when we decide the project is completed and gather our tools, wish you a farewell and take off.
